Summary :
This collab is about the final showdown between the two sisters. Lilia has found on her last journey some message that whenever she feels ready, she should come to visit Selia at the location they first met. A shrine in the southern point of the Fire Country. However, unlike previous fights, it's unsure how this one will go.
Hope you will have fun reading it. Has been one hell of a journey as Lilia has searched for answers and try to grow stronger. Thanks for sticking to it to this point, who knows where it could have ended with Lilia Hon?

Walking, Lilia looked around. It was around noon, but due the clouded weather, she wasn't sure how late. The sun was blocked by the dark grey clouds. Like if she wasn't allowed to see how late it was. That thought made her think she was acting silly again. Taking a deep breath, she already could see the place ahead of her. Standing still, a soft breeze lifted up some locks of black dyed hair. Brushing them aside, Lilia felt a bit weird. She didn't want to do this, but did she had a choice? It was going to be the last obstacle. The last thing she had to do, before she would ever go on a journey again. If she wouldn't finish it here, who knew what would happen? Maybe Selia would hurt one of the people Lilia liked. With that in her mind, the young Hon walked slowly towards the shrine.
The memory of the last time was when she was on a mission. Team 6 was ordered to recover a stolen relic, that was important to the shrine. It was the first mission of Masami Hyuuga, Lilia thought. And the first mission she learnt she had a sister. One that held a grudge against her, claiming it was her fault that their mother had died. After all, her mother had died because she had ignored the rule that she wasn't allowed to visit Lilia, who was 'adopted' by Katsuro Hon himself. The dark clouds and the silence gave the shrine something spooky. Lilia looked around, cautious for any movement. It seemed it was left, which was strange. Where had the monks and priests gone to? Had they abandoned their faith? Actually, the whole scenery looked more sad than spooky. Lilia couldn't help it but to see it what her bond with her sister looked like. Neglected, ignored and likely disliked. For a moment, Lilia felt a bit guilty. She had came here to finish it all. To get rid of Selia. But it didn't seem right. Lowering her head in shame, she felt stupid.
A sound behind her, made Lilia turn around. Somebody was clapping. A young girl, around the age of apparently eighteen or nineteen was clapping. Sitting on top of a tiled roof, the white haired and older girl looked with a venomous look in Lilia's direction. ''You've quite the nerve after all. Seems like I had underestimated you.''
Lilia bite her lower lip as she clenched her hands into fists. She wanted to say that this was pointless, that they should stop, but she saw the look in Selia's eyes. There was no chance she could talk this out. The other wanted to see her blood. Filled with sorrow and frustation, Lilia spoke back. ''But why me?! I didn't do it! I didn't killed mo-'' ''You're the cause she is dead. You're the cause that she went and ignored the rules. You're the one that carries the sin of her death. You and you alone.'' Selia sneered. She stood up and looked down on Lilia. The younger girl startled. Taking a step back, she then remembered something. She was here to make sure that it would stop. That she wouldn't be the one that would provoke Selia to hurt her friends. To hurt her beloved ones. To harm those who had nothing to do with it. She was the shield of Konoha, the Blue Fire of Hope.
It became silent as the breeze made the hair of the two move again, as the grass was rustled by it. Lilia looked up with a sad look in her eyes, while Selia looked down with an angry one. The youngest with black dyed hair and a vision of hope, love and friendship. The older with white hair and thoughts of revenge, blood and hatred.
Suddenly, both started to weave handseals at a rapid speed. True Hon's, one would say. Taking a deep breath, both would use the jutsu at the same time.
''Fire Style : Great Fire Ball Jutsu" ''Fire Style : Great Fire Ball Jutsu"
The violent fire techniques crashed against each other, as each tried to overwhelm the other with their flames. Narrowing her eyes, Lilia tried to keep her stand. Problem was that even while she could control and use her fire techniques better, she wasn't on par with Selia. Slowly, her technique was pushed back as Lilia started to panic. She had to turn the tide. Closing her right eye, she started to pour more chakra into her technique, able to make her stand better. Feeling the intense heat of the flames already, Lilia wasn't sure if she was going to make this.
No, she wanted to become Hokage. She wanted to end and finish this. If Selia wanted it this way, it was her decision. And hers alone. Lilia focused more, but the flames were slowly being pushed back until they exploded near Lilia. Stone, debris and dust were fling into the air as the techniques exploded near the younger Hon. Scoffing, Selia frowned. But before she could say anything, something drove the clouds away. Swinging with Samehada, Lilia had put up the cloth that covered the lower part of her face. The shark blade made a low grunting sound as it shivered. It was all ready for combat.
Sighing, Selia lowered and shook her head. ''Fine, I'll play a little with you.'' Looking with a grin, she jumped up and started to weave handseals. Mid-air, she blew large balls of fire towards Lilia. Balls of 3 meter in diameter. Lilia started to run forwards, using Samehada as a protection against the fierce fire attack. Seeing where Selia would land, Lilia already prepared to swing with her weapon. Her goal wasn't to kill Selia. It was to continue her life. To survive. To survive she had to take Selia out, but that didn't mean Selia had to die.
"You just have to prove that the tip of the sword can be a shield."
The words of Jinkama rang through her mind as she continued. Before she could reach Selia, she had to stop. The very earth itself shook and brought up a wall as Lilia aimed to swing at the mid section of the other girl. The shark blade crushed against the earth as Lilia yelped out of surprise. Selia seemed to not waste any moment and a hand came through the earth and slammed Lilia backwards. The little girl was rolling over the ground as she gritted her teeth. Getting up, she noticed how Samehada started to shake and try to free itself from Selia's technique. ''You see, it's between us. If you're a coward and want to win with the help of others, go and be my guest. It will only bring shame that you're a child of Ilia.''
Getting angry, she sneered back as she pounded her right hand at her chest. ''I can beat you myself. I always have fought on my own when nobody was around. Fine, I won't use Shady. I won't use Mata-sama's power. Come at me, Selia. I will show you what the Lightning Flash can do.'' Taking a fighting stance, she saw how Selia smiled. It was like she was looking in the mirror. The same little smile that she had seen on the statue of her mother. In the mirror when she checked her hair and now on the face of her older sister. Yet it was somewhat different...
Weaving more handseals, Selia crouched and placed the palm of her hands on the earth. The ground around Lilia started to shake and quake. Trying to stay balanced, wires out of the earth grabbed her around her wrists. Narrowing her eyes, Lilia felt how it tried to pull her backwards, against the ground. No, she wouldn't lose.
Lightning crackled in the air as Lilia unleashed her Chidori Current Technique. It caused cracks in the ground and repelled the wires, made of earth. Selia frowned as she noticed the powerful technique before she pulled out a kunai and charged at Lilia. Seeing that Selia was closing the distance, Lilia pulled out a kunai as well. A special one. A memento of Ino Namikaze. The two ran towards each other, ready to strike. As they closed in, the kunai's met and exchanged blows. The speed and reflexes of the two allowed them to what seemed to be dancing around each other. Trying to put kicks, punches and feints, Lilia already felt she had made some mistakes. Selia's kunai had scratched her flak jacket, left arm and right cheek.
Thinking of the lessons of Hiron and Kensuke, made Lilia try even harder. She had worked her way to become this good. No way she was going to just roll over and die in a close ranged fight with kunai or any other melee weapon! Selia dodged a slash, leaving her open for another strike. Using all her speed, Lilia suddenly raised her right foot and put it against Selia's knee. With her left hand, she grabbed her sister by the shoulder and jumped up. This allowed her to evade a stab as she made manouvre that brought her horizontal above Selia. Narrowing her eyes, she attempted to plunge the kunai in Selia's shoulder, but it was parried.
Quickly, the two leaped from each other to create some distance. Skidding to a halt, Lilia panted. Not cause she was already tired, but the amount of adrenaline that rushed in her veins.
Selia then threw the kunai towards Lilia, before making six handseals. The kunai began to multiply! Lilia knew that technique. Both Hiroshi as Zakito used that one. Shuriken Shadow Clone Technique. Quickly, using her fast speed, she leaped and rolled to the right to avoid the dozen kunai and stored her Tiger Claw Kunai away. Already Selia started her second offensive. This time again a fire jutsu. ''Fire Style : Great Fireball Jutsu!'' The flaming big ball was approaching Lilia as she bite her lower lip and forming three handseals, she feel her heart beating like a drum. It looked like forever before the jutsu she attempted started to work. Using the three handseals, a wall of lightning appeared in front of Lilia. It protected her against the fire as it wouldn't let any flame get near Lilia.
But as the wall of lightning and fire vanished, Lilia saw Selia nowhere. Looking around, she felt nervous. Slowly walking, she stayed focused on any movement and sound. Suddenly turning around, she saw that nothing had moved. Selia was playing a game with her. Suddenly, right behind her, a dragon made of earth tried to swallow her. Rolling forward, Lilia started to run towards the shrine. Patting, she looked over her shoulder. It started to follow her! Her eyes widened as it opened it's mouth. It had fire in it? quickly, Lilia jumped to the left as she had entered the building. The fire passed her, but the heat was enough to make her yelp and move further away from it. Shivering, Lilia tried to think. So she could use Fire, Earth and Lightning. After all, during their meeting, she had stomped her to the ground with a fist, imbued by lightning. And imbuing her weapons with it.
Thinking about something, she realized something that had been said to her once as she peeked to see where the Earth made dragon and Selia were.
"You were a better companion then I had expected. We did a lot of things that I'd have never imagined we could have done. You brought me back to the days I had a long time ago. Days of adventure. They were good adventures. But Lilia, don't forget to be cautious. If there is one thing you should have learned from me then it is that you should not trust things so easily. Not even if it looks cuddly. And don't go over the top. The things you did were rash and only because you had people who supported you, you managed. Don't ever forget that."
Thunderstone, the ferret summoning of Hisoka-sama. The one that had been with her a year or so ago, when she had searched for Masuba of the Mist, previous owner of Samehada. Seeing Selai inside the mouth of the Dragon, simply waiting for Lilia to come out, she would use Thunderstone's advice. Making a shadow clone, Lilia did the transformation jutsu, in order to look like a shuriken. The shadow clone grabbed some more shuriken, mustered her courage and ran outside. The moment she was outside, the building at her back was crushed as the tail of the earth dragon crushed it. Selia smirked as what she thought was the real Lilia threw shuriken at her. The earth dragon closed his mouth when she snapped her fingers. The shuriken didn't even impaled the stone, but one poofed and revealed the real Lilia. Quickly getting on top of the dragon's head, she used the Tree Climbing Technique to stay on it. Crouching as she pulled out the Tiger Claw kunai again, she had to wait for the moment. The mouth seemed to open as Selia laughed. ''You pitiful worm.'' The tail of the earth dragon was trying to crush the shadow clone, who continued to distract Selia's attention. This confirmed Lilia's hypothesis that the dragon made of earth was nothing more than manipulated ground. Else it would have reacted with the real Lilia on top of his head. Flipping the special kunai, to hold it in a reversed grip, Lilia half closed her eyes. She had to do it quickly as her shadow clone got cornered. As the tail of the earth dragon jutsu was about to crash down, Lilia imbued the kunai with lightning. But instead of staying at the blade, it extended. She was using the Piercing Sparkle Technique, very similar to the Chidori Spear of Hiron. Slashing quickly and multiple times, she noticed how the earth dragon collapsed. Jumping of the head before it crashed down on the ground, she made a roll and got swiftly up her feet. A grunting sound caught her attention as she noticed Samehada was still trapped. If she could save him then-
''Going somewhere?''
Before Lilia could react, she felt the impact and noticed she was off the ground. The kick against the side of her head made her fly to the side as she had not time to react. Falling on her side, she quickly rolled before Selia had planted her heel on her throat. Getting up with a spinning kick, to drive Selia backwards, the two started to use taijutsu. A field where Lilia was a true expert in. But now it seemed like she was just like two years ago, trying to match uncle Zakito while she didn't even know how to kick properly! Being driven back, Lilia used her Silent Shocking Technique as she blocked a kick. Cursing, Selia pulled her leg back as she felt the shock. Now it was Lilia's turn. With fast kicks and punches, she kept attacking and then at a point, she jumped up and quickly spin 180 degrees. Raising her left leg, she kicked Selia backwards in the face.
The speed and strength behind the kick made Selia stumble backwards. Looking surprised, she saw that Lilia had ran to Samehada. Not wanting her to reach the blade, Selia spit on the ground, weaving handseals. As she ran, Lilia noticed how spikes out of the earth tried to block her way to Samehada. Like if the blade saw her, he made a kind of desperate sound. Lilia smiled behind her mask as she stretched out her hand, lightning around her to fend off the earth technique. But as she tried to grab Sameahda the earth was trying to pull him down. Suddenly, a hilt appeared as Samehada opened his mouth. Jumping, Lilia managed to grab the hilt as the shark blade was going to vanished. Pulling the silver sword out of the shark blade, Lilia cried out his name. ''SHAAADDY!'' Trying to grab him with her left hand, she briefly managed to touch the skull of the blade, feeling a last soothing feeling before the ground hide him from her.
''Pick your blade... One doesn't draw a blade and then cry about losing another one.'' Selia said with a cold voice. She had reached for her back, pulling out a katana that was sheathed in a scabbard against her back. Swinging it around, she looked with an arrogant face at Lilia. Slowly getting up, Lilia looked angry at Selia. The words of an old man sounded now through her mind.
'''I find no fault with you when it comes to standing against an adversary with courage.''
''However,''
Lilia spin her blade as she readied herself. Her gaze was focused on Selia who grinned. Slowly rain started to drip on the area as it then started to rain heavily, the clouds roaring. Rushing towards each other, readying their swords, the two pair of green eyes were locked on each other.
''very few have the courage to sheathe their swords once it's out.''
Approaching each other, the steel started to sing their deadly song. Exchanging blows, parrying and evading the two started their deadly dance. The sparks that were generated were the only light source as the two kept going, kept swinging their blades. Lilia stepped left as she tried to block a slash. Just in time, as she noticed how she could see her reflection in the blade. Was it... fear? Before she could react, Selia pulled her blade back and stomped Lilia backwards, trying to make her stumble. Lilia blinked with her eyes, clearly aware that the next move would be Selia's blade coming at her. '' Fear is not evil. In fact...''
The sound of steel clashing against steel sounded through the air. Panting, Lilia's arms trembled. In time she had made a flip backwards and blocked the incoming hack. Panting, she looked at Selia, who frowned and then pushed Lilia backwards.
''It tells you what your weakness is. And once you know your weakness, you can become stronger...''
But instead of stumbling, she walked backwards herself, both hands at the hilt of the silver blade. It glowed like the moon in the sky of the night, now sending out a bright light as it slashed towards Selia. Blinded by the light, Selia felt pain at her right arm. Lilia had made a cut, but not too deep. It was however painful enough that Selia dropped her weapon and tried to make some distance. But a kick in the stomach made her fall backwards.
''But more importantly.. It might make you as well kinder.''
Taking some steps back, Lilia panted and looked with a serious look. The words of Kenzan Hon weren't forgotten by her. ''Stop it.'' She firmly said, not holding a stance anymore. Selia looked up surprised and then angry as she rolled backwards, grabbing her katana and got up her feet in a swift motion. ''A true follower of the sword, a warrior, kills the enemy.''
Lilia shook her head, only making Selia tremble with anger. ''No. A warrior draws a blade to take a life. A hero draws a blade to save one. I'm going to be that shield... That hero.'' Lilia said, holding the katana in the manner Kensuke had taught her. But Selia spit again on the ground as lightning started to crackle around her blade. Lilia narrowed her eyes as lightning crackled around the silver katana she was wielding. The sound of lightning, crackling in the air, as it kept raining was the only sound for a moment. Then as a flash of lightning, high up in the sky, lighten up the area, the two lashed at each other. The menacing sound of the fierce blades again exchanging blows made it clear that if one would make a mistake, it would tip the balance of the fight in the favor of the other.
Staying focused as she did, Lilia was more intending on to live. Selia was attacking ruthlessly as she was intending to end the life. This came to Lilia's mind as she kept parrying and attacking back when she noticed an opening. For a moment, she didn't saw Selia, but Kensuke.
His voice was the next that sounded in her mind as she kept fighting for her life.
"You're overeager, impatient, take too many risks, perhaps a bit too idealistic. But one day I'm sure that if you keep up training like this, you'll be one of the finest shinobi walking the earth. There's no doubting that."
Suddenly one of the blades managed to slash through skin and flesh. The one that got hit cursed out loud as she back away. ''Shit...'' Blood flowed out of the cut, thought it was just a minor one. If she hadn't pulled her head back, then it was more than likely the steel had cut through more than that. ''You have quite some nice reflexes.... that will become a fine scar once you're dead.'' Lilia breathed heavily as she held her left hand at the right side of her face. She felt the pain rushing through her body and the urge of Matatabi's chakra. But she had made a promise. And she would keep her word. Removing her hand, she noticed the blood on the finger-less glove. Looking with a determinant look in Selia's direction, she took another stance.
The display of Lilia, trembling, in pain and hurt and still not eager to give up made Selia frown. It seemed it eventually disgusted Selia as she cursed and lashed out. Every time she slashed, she shouted at Lilia. ''You're nothing! You're going to die right here by.. my...hands.'' But as she had said her last words, the sword cut through an afterimage. Using the afterimage effect of the Secret Sword : Moon Shadow Technique, Lilia had moved to Selia's side. Forming a fist with her left hand, Lilia lowered her head and punched Selia against her temple. ''Jinkama...Punch!''
As Selia was sent flying by the Sparkle punch, that was named after the strong punch that Jinkama had, Lilia heard the words of Tsubasa. A member of Team 4 and a person she admired for her strength and wisdom.
“Close your heart to anything, and you have lost to it. The idea will defeat you. As long as you remain accepting of the world around you, nothing can stand in your path. Expand your mind like pair of large wings and they will not fail you. It’s like my mentor once told me, fly into tomorrow with thine wings unfenced.”
Rolling over the ground, Selia did move. Lilia panted as she felt hurt and not sure what to do. She was giving it her all, but she noticed that it was either on par or just below Selia's level. Was this her limit? Biting on her tongue, she remembered all her friends. Mentors. Family. Her dream and hope. Her Guardian. No, this wasn't her limit! ''Tch...'' She flinched as she felt the pain at her right eye again. The blade hadn't damaged the eye, but the light cut did hurt.
Selia got up and looked mad at Lilia. Grunting she flicked her right wrist, generating lightning at her hand. Lilia opened her left hand, generating lightning as well at her hand. At the same time, the two unleashed their technique. Two big hounds of lightning charged at the other. Much like the fire ball technique, the lightning collided and started to try to push the other. Both of them were trying to gain the upper hand, but it was a true struggle as Lilia was a natural talent with using Lightning Release. She could use it at a more advanced level than she could with Fire.
Selia noticed how her technique was slowly being pushed away. Releasing it, the lightning went towards her, but she could evade it with a side-wards flip. The moment she landed on her feet, she held two kunai with explosive tags attach to them. ''Eat ... This.!'' Throwing the weapons towards Lilia, the latter readied herself. Pulling out a shuriken to deflect one of the kunai, she noticed how the other was aimed in front of her. Making back flips to make some distance, she noticed how she had made just enough space to save herself from the explosive. But before she could bring up a proper defense, Selia sprinted through the cloud of dust and started to attack Lilia again. Fending most attacks, Lilia was punched in her stomach, making her bend forward. Selia brought her knee up, attempting to hit Lilia in the face or against the chin. Putting her hands at the knee, to block the attack as well countering it, Selia yelped out of pain. The Silent Shocking technique hit her as Lilia made use of it. With the created opening. Lilia slammed her right fist against the nose of Selia, who stumbled backwards. Because of the power of the punch, blood gushed out of the nose as the hands of the older girl shot towards it. With a quick step forwards, Lilia brought her left elbow up and slammed it against the throat of Selia, depriving her of any air. Gasping and attempting to breath, Selia stumbled backwards as Lilia breathed heavily.
Though she had all kind of jutsu in her mind, most wouldn't work. Selia wouldn't grant her the time to prepare techniques like Sparkle disc and distraction tactics didn't seem to work that good. Narrowing her eyes, clearly thinking of something, she would use the tactic of Zakito. Grabbing a smoke bomb, Lilia threw it up in the air as she readied herself. Selia frowned as the smoke bomb hide Lilia away. ''Running away won't work.'' She sneered at Lilia, who didn't responded. Several shuriken, enhanced as they were imbued by lightning, flew towards Selia. Evading them with a quick dodge, Selia rushed forward as Lilia ran to the left. The older Hon grinned as she weaved several handseals at a rapid speed, before spitting out several fireballs towards Lilia, making use of the Phoenix Fire Jutsu. With her quick reflexes and speed, she kept dodging the balls of fire, until one hit her at her right leg. Yelping out of pain, Lilia crashed against the ground. Trying to get up, Selia scoffed as her left feet planted at Lilia's stomach. Quickly raising it up, she stamped on her younger sister, who felt how all the air in her longs were slammed out. Trying to get some air inside, Selia laughed. ''Stupid worm... To think you have been-'' ''There you go!''
Turning her head, Selia felt a punch against her right cheek. Chakra surrounded the body of Lilia as she kept up her attack. The tactic of Zakito was one that could surprise many and Lilia had used it in the most classic way. Knowing that some could use it in combination with other techniques, much like her kenjutsu senpai, Lilia had bought some time to use her own developed technique. The Secret Will of The Leaf would hopefully keep her protected for any quick counter attack as she had noticed Selia's right hand had pulled out a kunai. And as she had expected, the older girl tried to stab Lilia as the later moved in again for another strike. Surprised Selia had noticed the kunai was unable to pierce the chakra coating before she was kicked against her chest. Lilia had jumped up and used both her legs to kick Selia backwards. Landing on her feet, Lilia flipped her hair and raised her right eyebrow. ''I hate to repeat myself, but I will ask it again. Stop it now.'' Speaking with a calm tone, she was glad that her technique had defended her. It was a gamble as she wasn't sure that the technique was perfected yet. It was only luck that had managed to save her.
''Begone with that 'acting tough' shit. You're nothing compared to me. You're only going to die and that.. is... it!'' Selia shouted suddenly back at the end of her sentence. It made Lilia flinch as she noticed a change in the surrounding of her older sister. Lightning crackled in the air as slowly something big was being formed. Lilia looked with a pale turning face at the technique Selia was about to use. ''N-N-No..... No...But h....how?'' She stuttered as she took a few steps back. A big wolf of lightning looked with a grin at Lilia as Selia pointed at her. ''Those who have trained and know the Knowledge of the Wolf can attempt to learn the three hidden jutsu of the Hon Clan. I will give you ten seconds to make your own before I will crush you like a bug.''
Swallowing, Lilia felt cold sweat at her back. The menacing sound of the technique was loud, just as loud as the beating of her heart. How could she fight against such a fearsome technique? Not without Matatabi. No! She narrowed her eyes as she mustered her courage. She would fight this on her own. It was her fight and hers alone.
''Eight... Nine...'' Selia counted out loud as she crossed her hands in front of her. Lilia then knew what she had to do. Turning around, she started to run as fast as she could. The sound behind her made it clear that Selia was trying to attack now. A quick look over her shoulder made it clear that she was trying it with a sweep. Jumping up, Lilia managed to just evade the fierce attack as it destroyed the ground underneath her. Landing and rolling, Lilia didn't waste any time. It was here somewhere. Another time of the fearsome sound made her turn around and see the lightning trying to slam down on her. With a quick leap to the right, she managed to avoid getting crushed but was sent flying. Skidding to a halt, she noticed the eerie sound of the shark blade. It worked! As the huge lightning made wolf pulled his right claw back, she knew it had tore the earth and freed her shark blade. Now the tables could be turned!
Rushing towards the location, she could see the white bandaged shark blade slithering out of the crater, towards Lilia. As Selia scoffed and attempted to slam another crushing attack on Lilia, the latter let herself slide over the wet ground as she stretched her hand to reach the sentient blade.
Debris, stone and dust were again launched in the air as the lightning slammed into the ground. Slowly it started to fade as Selia knew better than using the deadly hidden jutsu longer than one minute. Sinking on her left knee, she closed her right eye and grinned. ''Seems you.... What?''
In the midst of the dust, Lilia stood with a calm look on her face. The wound on her face, the slash at her right eye had stop bleeding. Though it had left a scar. Letting the blade rest on her right shoulder, Lilia closed her eyes and shook her head. ''You shouldn't think you can easily overwhelm the other just because you have a S ranked technique.'' Lilia told him. Raising her right eyebrow, she kept talking in a calm manner. ''I'm not going to just give it up. You fight to end my life, while I fight to protect what is dear to me.'' Lilia said to her older sister. This made Selia speechless as she couldn't believe it. Lilia looked around as she then sighed again. ''Like you see, this isn't going anywhere. I propose we just talk-''
''You think you're some hero? You think you just can ''save'' me? You're wrong! The world isn't that nice... You're naive, misguided and weak.'' Selia sneered at Lilia. This made the latter raise her chin and look with a very serious look at Selia, mimicing Hiron in her own way. ''Oh? Weak you say? I am standing on both my feet... instead of kneeling down.'' This made Selia gain a red face as she clenched her hands into fist and stutter words.
''What do you even want to prove? Huh? That you're better than everyone?'!' Selia shouted in anger at Lilia. The younger girl tilted her head as she frowned. It made her think of when she thought she understood Matatabi, thinking she was the wiser one of the two. The words of Matatabi were loud and clear in her head as she remembered something.
"You know what I think, Lilia-sama. Prove yourself."
Thank you Mata-sama.... I will prove myself... Cause I am fighting... for myself. For the others. For what I believe in. I fight to protect and not to end. She thought ,not sure if the Tailed Beast was paying attention to her thoughts. She wasn't even sure if he liked it that she was also trying to hold down any chakra of him, cause she wanted to do this on her own. Slowly she placed Samehada down as the blade made a soft grunting sound. Selia got up as she had recovered a bit, still looking with a glance filled with anger and hatred. ''I'm not better than everybody, but not trash either. I'm going to end this, but I don't want to kill you Selia. I hope-''
Selia laughed as she got up and shook her head. ''See... Misguided. Weak. Naive. You're a little brat who had some good luck. Nothing more. But today you'll see your end.'' Selia, threatening Lilia again. The latter simply didn't react anymore. What did help? Selia wouldn't listen, so Lilia saw that the only was to force Selia to step down. Slowly grabbing her right wrist, a big amount of lightning was gathering at Lilia's right hand. Spreading her footwork a bit, she narrowed her eyes. This was going to be her last resort. An all out going Sparkle.
Selia scoffed as she did the same stance, also gather lightning. ''Do you think that Chidori is so unique these days? The jutsu that Zakito has developed has spread already around..... I will crush you with it, a fitting end for a loser like you.'' She said, grinning after finish speaking. This only made Lilia a bit angry. Chidori was indeed developed by Zakito, her uncle. But it was the signature of the person she loved the most in this cruel world.
She wouldn't let somebody speak ill about him. Direct or indirect. No, even Hiron himself wouldn't stop her now. She wouldn't kill Selia, but she would pay for that.
Rushing towards each other, both prepared to strike with the deadly jutsu at each other. It seemed like time was slowing down as the two progressed towards each other. Lilia started to wonder as she saw her older sister. Suddenly she realized how it could have been different. To have a big and loving older sister. To have a sibling that would be ready to support her, to respect her. It brought a tear to the right of Lilia as she attempted to stab Selia. The fierce lighting pierced flesh as both flinched. The rain seemed to stop a bit, as the lightning crackled in the air, around the two Hon's. Breathing heavily, Lilia pulled her hand back and looked surprised. Selia held her eyes narrowed as she also was having trouble with breathing.
Pulling her facemask down, Lilia took a few steps to glance more at Selia. Suddenly she spitted out blood. Growing pale, she held her hands at her chest. Blood was pouring with each heartbeat. Trying to keep herself standing, to keep herself alive, Lilia saw that she had missed Selia completely. She had lost. All because she had wished for a loving sibling. Selia sighed and then scoffed. ''Feeling not so well?'' Lilia tried to turn and run, but tripped. Gasping, as she felt the pain and the desperate craving to move away from Selia, Lilia started to shed more tears. But because she was scared. Feeling too much pain, she noticed that she was trying to crawl away from Selia. The older girl simply let Lilia crawl a bit away, leaving a messy trail of blood behind her. Breathing heavily, Lilia noticed how her vision was slowly starting to fade. No, she didn't want to die. She had to get away... Had to get away.
''You're a hero right? Well, who are you saving now? Who are you protecting now?'' Selia mocked Lilia as she had picked up her sword. Swinging the blade slowly, making the blade sing it's deadly song, Lilia grew more desperate. The sounds of footsteps made Lilia grow cold or was it the approaching dead? Though her senses, instinct and mind told her to keep on crawling away, Lilia looked over her shoulder. Her eyes widened as Selia held a black orb in her left hand. The eyes of the older Hon glowed with a dangerous light as she then kicked Lilia in her side. Screaming out of pain, the younger girl rolled over her back and held her hands at her wound. ''I will make you suffer more. Just like mother.... Kiyomi Hon.'' Placing the black orb in the wound, Lilia's eyes opened wide open as she tried to scream. Her mouth opened, but no sound came out. Then she saw how the darkness came. As it came, it devoured everything. It devoured her.
Alone.
Looking around, Lilia saw nothing. Strange thing was that she could see herself, but not else then darkness. Emptiness. It was like she was truly alone. Scared, Lilia couldn't even call or talk to Matatabi. Then she realized why this came familiar to her! This was just like what Matatabi had shown her. Well, she had her own body, but then she turned pale. Her right hand, that she had glanced at, was losing color. It slowly became grey and then transparent. She was fading away! Gasping for breath, she felt the feeling that she was all alone again. But this time it was growing! Lilia fell on her knees. Panting, she tried to stop the process. But nothing was working. Desperate, Lilia started to cry as she kept using everything she could think off. All that wasn't grey was only that area around her heart.
Feeling that she wasn't able to continue, Lilia lowered her head. So this was it? Was this the end of her life? Vanishing in the darkness? She sobbed as she tried to remain confident, but failed at it. For the first time of her life, Lilia felt somehow at peace. True peace. She had done her best and though she had failed, she had given it her all. Looking, she didn't see any wounds or anything strange about her.
The heart area slowly became grey as Lilia let out the last tear. Closing her eyes, she sighed, deciding that this was it. This was her last moment. The end of her journey. To be devoured by the darkness.
Then her eyes shot open. Somebody had caught her tear and she couldn't believe it.
Jinkama ran a hand through his own hair and shook his head. "I wasn't strong enough to help me, so don't worry about that," he began. But he took a pause, looking around first. "You know, when I was younger, people would ask me all the time: 'why are you so powerful, Jin?' When I was your age, and even for some years after, I just assumed it was my inherent ability. That I was just born better. But I was arrogant then. As I grew older, I was able to see what it was that powered me. For the past twenty years, every time someone has asked me where my power comes from, I tell them one thing. Many don't believe. Zakito didn't at first. Nobody wanted to believe that the key to being unbeatable was something so simple. Do you know what it is?"
Lilia listened to Jinkama, trying to stop crying. Thinking about the answer, she didn't know the answer. Shaking her head, she kept speaking with a soft tone. ''It seems I don't know many things. Not as much as I assumed knew. What is the key to become unbeatable, Gramps Jin Jin?'' Lilia asked him. The area around her chest, where her heart was, stopped becoming grey.
"Love," Jinkama answered. He took a pause to let that sink in. "When I was fighting in the War, I wasn't fighting for Konoha. Well, I was. But that's not where my heart was. I was fighting for my wife, my son, my niece. Many times I faced a foe I thought I couldn't defeat. But I had promised myself defeat wasn't an option. And when you make sure defeat isn't an option, you'll find that the only option available is victory. I refused to die, for my family." Jinkama took another pause, so as not to flood Lilia with words. "That's what true power is. Your power isn't what's inside you." Jinkama then poked Lilia in her chest, right on her heart. "It's who is with you."
"Giving up, are we?" Jinkama asked her. He was crouched over Lilia now, his eyes a calm blue as he looked into hers. "I didn't think you'd ever do that." Her lower lip trembled as she wasn't sure what was happening now. ''Gramps.. Jin.. Jin?'' She stuttered. Tears started to flow down her cheeks again, but she whipped them away. ''I-I-I'm sorry. But I can't... I'm not strong enough. I wasn't strong enough to even.. help you. Sorry, Gramps Jin..'' Lilia told him back, feeling guilty.
She became quiet a she looked at her heart. Her whole body was still grey, but due Jinkama's words she slowly started to regain some colors, but not enough. Just a tiny bit. ''Thank you for your wise words. I miss you Gramps Jin. Everybody miss you, you know that?'' She told him, but not crying anymore. She smiled even. ''I... I think that I would want to try it again, but I... I feel like I have lost.'' She told him.
The older man nodded. "It would look like you have," he agreed, before chuckling a bit. "But remember this: power fueled by hatred will never be like power fueled by love. Fighting for yourself will never work as well as fighting for what you love. I've seen it time and time again. The most powerful opponents I've faced were fighting for what they love. And some of the weakest... for what they hate." Jinkama stood up now. This made him tower over Lilia. "So now I have another question for you, and only you can answer it for me. Have you lost?" He asked this question and raised an eyebrow.
Lilia stood up, but while Jinkama had made her feel a bit better, she didn't feel like she was still able to stand up against Selia. ''Thank you, Gramps, but I don't believe I-'' She said, before she was interrupted. This made Lilia look to her right, but she was unable to see the person. A blinding light, that didn't seem to blind Jinkama, prevented her from seeing who had said those words.
"I believe in you. That's all that matters."
Slowly, more silhouettes appeared as they came walking out of the light. Lilia still wasn't able to see who had said that she believed Lilia, because Lilia was sure of who was possibly that person. Then another voice spoke up, making Lilia gasp for breath.
''Lilia-chan. True strength and courage comes from the heart. It's on the darkest times, during these moments when one needs to shine. Shining during bright days is also something good, but it's what shows the true face of somebody when they can do it also during the dark moments.''
''I've faith you will reach it, just stay on the path you're taking. Young Wolf.''
It was Zakito! Her uncle looked at her with a genuine expression on her face as Lilia felt her tears coming up again. With Jinkama at her side, she watched how more people came walking out of the light. Slowly she regained more and more colour and thus confidence back, enough to make it stop for a little bit.
''You're an amazing girl, Lilia-chan. Keep making sure you know that as well. Know that I love you and that I think you're more then enough to be fit to take on the whole world. You never cease to amaze me. But remember,
Keep believing in yourself. Never ever stop doing that, okay?''
Keep believing in yourself. Never ever stop doing that, okay?''
Hearing Aiko's words made Lilia grab Jinkama's hand, she sobbed, but not because she was sad. She hadn't expected this much faith and respect from those who she had embraced already in her heart. Looking to Jinkama, she wondered what he would say about this.
"So I have one last question for you. Actually, make that two," Jinkama said, moving in front of Lilia now, to look her in the eyes. "Do you know what you love? And are you ready to fight for it?" With the last question asked, Jinkama gave Lilia a smirk, and his blue eyes shifted color to green.
She looked at her feet and then back up to Jinkama. Though she was regaining herself, the sealing or genjutsu technique of Selia was still weighing down on her. ''I wish I could, but what if I'm not skilled enough? What if I'm not able to become that great as you or any of the people I respect and love? I wish that I could... I could just go back and take another path...'' Lilia told him, ashamed, but then two others stepped out of the light, ready to speak back to Lilia. It was a smiling young man and a young girl, around of Lilia's age. Followed by two others young girls.
" Lilia-chan. While I admit that your skills and abilities surpass those of your peers, giving you the advantage in most situations, there is something I would like to point out. With your exceptional skills, you tend to forget one important thing - no matter what happens, you must stay in the present. No enemy is so weak that you should consider a victory against him granted - somebody who is skilled enough with a stick can easily beat a person who can´t use a kunai properly. Stay focused on the present, because it will decide your future. You have the potential to become a Great Wolf, Lilia. You have the personality of a great Wolf, the skills of a great Wolf. Just stay on the ground and your future will be bright. ''
Hiroshi's words struck Lilia as she looked briefly at him. She wanted to say something back, that he was just saying that to be nice, as he was always a nice person. But they all were, so that made Lilia not able to use that argument. As she tried to say something back, the girl, with white coloured eyes said something, aiding Hiroshi's words. It was Masami, who smiled and tilted her head a bit to the left.
" Lilia-San, my dear friend. I do not know you for that long, but we managed to survive a lot of things, together. Keep those things in your heart as the precious moments that will continue to forge your personality for a long, long time, as I will keep those memories in that of mine. But be wary to live in the present ... because where the past meets the present, the future will be decided. I am sure your future will be bright ... just stay alive till that day. ''
Lilia nodded, wanting to react, but was surprised by two others. Akira and Shinko stood next to each other smiling like fools. Akira grabbed Lilia's hand and brought her into a hug. "You know, you never cease to keep amazing me. You're what 14? And you're a higher rank then me, certainly can kick my ass as well. In the short time that we got to know each other, I have absolutely devoted myself to trying and catching up to you. It may sound silly but one day I want to catch up to you and truly call you my equal. So don't die on me alright, so I can fight you in future" Somewhere during her talking she actually started to tear up. She let Lilia go and Shinko patted Akira's shoulder, before also pulling Lilia into a hug. "Today is full of hugs, eh? Well, I dont really know what to say, besides I know you're going to come back alive. So there really isn't a need to worry. You're stronger then me and knuckle head over combined, you can even challenge jounins, in my book you are stronger then what ever they could throw at you. The important thing is to think, not if I get back, its when you get back, okay?" Shinko pulled her back and smiled before letting go.
As Lilia heard their words, truly deflecting what she was about to say, she gained more colour back. The darkness seemed to turn slowly to dark grey, but still Lilia wasn't able to see who was standing in the light. There were two people, but still it was too bright for her to look directly to it. ''Gramps Jin Jin, but what if I have lost my faith in myself? What if I have love, skill and such things, but still not able to win? Is that possible?'' She asked him, still feeling unsure, no matter how much she wanted to believe the words of them all.
Jinkama leaned in close now, putting his head next to Lilia's. "No," he whispered to her, before standing back upright. He let that sink in and gave her a smile, before looking over at the silhouettes. "That can't happen." He looked back into Lilia's eyes, and gave her a thumbs up.
Feeling like this was a day full of surprises, Lilia narrowed her eyes as she glanced at her handpalms. She still didn't feel convinced or was that the jutsu of Selia? Maybe she would just need some more. She was sure that she could do it, but at the same time, she felt that she needed more. A man with a smile and a serious looking woman walked out of the light. The man briefly laughed as the woman then slowly smirked, a little.
"You are amazing, Lilia-chan. You have incredible skills, and with them, I am sure that one day, no matter where you will be or what kind of role you will have in the village, you will be able to sit down with a few genin and tell them many stories, which you will create. Stories you are already creating right now, and I am positive that all of those stories will pass the ones your mother left for you."
Sakamoto spoke to her on a very respectful, but still cheerful manner. This made Lilia smile as she whipped away some tears. She couldn't believe so many kept having faith in her, that so many were with her. It made her truly happy. Then the woman spoke, on a less friendlier tone, but still friendly enough. For her doing.
"Lilia Hon.
I cannot believe I am about to tell you this, but you have actually managed to bring a bit of happiness into my life. You remind me of me, when I was young, but you made me happy by allowing me to see how you are turning out to be by taking the right paths. The paths that keep bringing you friends and allies. I am a mistake that cannot be fixed now, but you have so much more choices, so many more waypoints that will help you determine how you will turn out to be.
Always remember one thing though. With the choices you have made so far, I can say without hesitating, that you will never be alone.
And don't you dare ever telling anyone that I have said that."

As Ino spoke, Lilia lower lip trembled. ''Thank you... Sorry.'' She told everybody as she then started to cry again, not able to keep the emotions of herself under control. Lilia felt happy, but she had another question for Jinkama. But she was interrupted, by Leo.
"Anything is possible, if we reach hard enough for it we can obtain it. You've taught me once, but you were able to bring the best out of me in one lesson. I think that might be one of your many special gifts Lilia, bringing the best out of people no matter how angry, no matter how sad they act. You've moulded a hero, and you will hear and read name of the boy who is aided by crystal....
This made Lilia look at the small boy. There was slowly a small crowd growing. But Leo stood now in front of them, with a big smile. The display of the small boy, in front of the crowd made her shed a tear, which she pinked away. Nodding in his direction, she already noticed somebody was about to step up as well. It was a young boy with dark colored hair. Koike Hon.
''You're amazing Lilia-chan! Keep going like that! I wish I was that good as you are.''
This made her nod again, as she wasn't sure what she had to say back, to such kind and inspiring words. Looking at Jinkama, she asked him a question. ''But... How can I become a Hokage if I can't even ... If I even have failed to believe in myself?'' She asked him. Somehow, she felt that she had to talk to Jinkama, that others wouldn't mind it. That it was okay.
Jinkama thought about this for a moment. But a very brief one. "That's a good question. But you have to look at it this way first," Jinkama began. He looked across at the people that had appeared, before looking back at Lilia. "Have you really failed at believing in yourself?" He took a pause, before chuckling. "Let's be honest. If you failed to believe in yourself, you would be dead right now. And you don't look very dead to me. Trust me, I'd know." Jinkama finished with a small chuckle, shrugging. "So I wouldn't worry about that question if I were you."
''But Gramps... I...'' She wanted to speak again, but another pair of people came out of the crowd, standing now in front of them. It was girl with brown hair color and a little smile. A man with black hair and serious looking eyes glanced in Lilia's direction.
Seeing who it were, Lilia grew silent again, wondering what they would say.
''You're a true source of inspiration, Lilia. You showed me that laughing in life is better than to keep on mocking everything. You keep showing great progress and though you've a long way ahead of you, keep going. Don't give up or surrender. Show the world what kind of fighting spirit you have. You've my respect and admiration, Lilia-san.''
Yumi spoke to Lilia, winking at her once she had finished. Lilia grew more confident, almost regaining all the color again. The area around them had became grey, making the two people that kept standing the bright to show more features. However, Lilia's look shifted to the man that stood next to Yumi.
"Lilia Hon, you strive for a great dream and something I am still not sure if you will achieve. But it is good to dream and maybe you will someday achieve your goals. Just remember that there is more to life then just that one dream. Remember that there are more ways to be a shield. Things in life are not black and white, you have to consider as much as you can when you act upon something. Don't be too rash now and return the respect that was given.
The words of the Yondaime Hokage made Lilia nod, but she heard somebody else speaking again before she was able to reply again. It made her truly smile as she heard the words of the person again. She remembered them as it was the answer for her question she had asked it him that time.
''Lilia. There is not really an answer to that. It's better to formulate what you think is right. But it can't hurt to know what others think. After all, there is not such a person that has every answer. I think that the answer is that you need to understand and accept things. Not to forget, keep looking to the horizon.
In the end, we all look up to people. I did look up to so many strong people. To grow stronger, we have sources of inspiration. That is what I think a Hokage needs. It's how I managed. People like you, Lilia-chan... They were my inspiration. I think that it's time that I say.
Thank you Lilia-chan. I hope that you can keep on doing what you the best.
Smiling and enjoying life. Think we could use a smiling Hokage. And you would do fine, keep it up. Lilia..-sama.''

Again, Lilia felt like crying. So much kindness, praising and other positive things. It made her feel happy, respected and admired. Still, it also made her feel that she had failed. Failing to stop Selia from harming all these people. Failing to protect them, failing their respect. Then Hisoka spoke again, as he stood next to Zakito, with a serious expression, but yet some happyness in his eyes.
"I've never dreamed of becoming Hokage. I've never strived for it, never fought for it. Still I became Hokage because of circumstances. I have not yet figured out what makes that certain people get to sit into the chair behind the desk in the Hokage's office and that certain people will never get there. I don't think anyone really knows. Jinkama didn't and he is like the wise guy here." He smirked slightly at the memory of his talk with his mentor, who stood now next to Lilia.
"So since I don't know what makes someone especially qualified to be Hokage I can't give a definitive answer. There is something that defines a Hokage and maybe that is you yes. Just know that there are a lot of ways to be a shield."
"So since I don't know what makes someone especially qualified to be Hokage I can't give a definitive answer. There is something that defines a Hokage and maybe that is you yes. Just know that there are a lot of ways to be a shield."
Nodding as she tried to whip away the tears, Lilia tried to look a bit more confident. So many people had placed faith and trust in her. Crying in front of them made her feel small and silly. The two men did a step back as young man stood there with a smile. Unable to say anything, Lilia wanted to say sorry to the person. He yawned as he stretched his arms.
"Honestly, Lilia.. I-I.. Oh god. You better be sleeping, or I'll embarrass myself for a life time. T-thank you.. Thank you for saving my life against.. that one. Thank you for always supporting me. Thank you for standing beside me. Thank you for trusting me. Without you, I'd be dead.. But then again, I wouldn't be involved in these kinds of businesses unless you had dragged me into it. You better take responsibility, you brat. Ah.. I need to sleep as well. Good night."
Lowering her head, Lilia clenched her hands. They trembled a bit as she knew that this was going to be her end. But she felt happy. Loved and respected. It was alright. Raising her head, she had the little unique smile that she only had when she felt truly happy. When she was experience true peace with her choices. Even while she was sure that this would mean her end, she was sure that there was a little chance to make something of it. Something small. Slowly, Lilia started to walk with Jinkama to the light behind the crowd. The group split up. Some nodded with a big smile, others winked and some others gave her a thumb up. Hideki even patted her shoulder as she passed him. Nodding back at him, she remembered the promise. Hopefully he would travel to Maiden's Rest and enjoy the peace that was there. As the crowd was behind her and Jinkama, Lilia wavered as she turned to look at all the people. But she was sure. She had to go now.
Though she took another step, she felt the need to say what was going on her mind it. Looking at the light, Lilia spoke to Jinkama, who stood right next to her. ''Thank you for everything Gramps Jin Jin-sama. I'll make sure that you won't be bothered by my whining... But will I see you one day again?'' She asked him, turning half, to look better at him. She knew that it was maybe not even the real Jinkama, maybe she wasn't even going back to life, but she wasn't feeling sad anymore. Actually, happy. Jinkama and the others had given back her hope and even more.
"Hopefully not any time soon," Jinkama answered, looking back at Lilia. He figured that didn't need explaining, but he raised an eyebrow to help get the point across. Just in case. "But I think you'll do just fine. Just remember everything I told you... Oh, and what they told you. Don't forget that either." With a chuckle, Jinkama ruffled Lilia's hair a little, before taking a step back to give her her personal space back. A step back to the crowd, him standing in front of them.
''Take...Oh, just take care, Gramps Jin Jin!'' She waved at him as well to the others. Now she turned around, with a big smile. Slowly she started to run. Running towards the light, she noticed the distance between her and the two people in the light was quite long. However, she kept running as she heard a familiar voice speaking to her. Her smile grew as she kept running harder and harder, giving it her all.
''I don't just trust you, neither respect you. Also not love you. Wasn't that not clear? I admire you, little brat. You've been the first one that managed to show me first what it meant to be strong of heart. Not me, but you were the one that inspired the two of us. Keep doing that.
I believe in you, little one.''
I believe in you, little one.''
Then she saw who had said the last recent words as who had said the first inspiring words. Keiko and Hiron! Some tears escaped Lilia's eyes again as she spread out her arms, shouting their names. Leaping up she hugged them both, burrying her face into them as they hugged. ''I love you both... I... I will not ever again give up..'' She told them. Then she heard something and this made her turn around. Instead of the crowd, she noticed a little girl. Slowly letting Keiko and Hiron go, Lilia looked surprised. She then noticed it was suddenly just her and the little girl.
''Who are you?'' Lilia asked.
The little, red-haired girl giggled a bit. "I'm your sister, silly," she explained, before skipping closer to Lilia. She flashed her a smile, before looking past Lilia to Keiko and Hiron. "Aimi Hon!" she announced her name.
That name. Lilia smiled a little bit as she moved closer to her little sister. Wondering if she was going crazy or that if this was some kind of weird scene, like those you saw in movies and that didn't made much sense. ''I'm glad to meet you already, Aimi. Would you mind to answer me one question?'' Lilia asked her, feeling very happy as slowly the chest area where Lilia's heart was being filled with color.
The little girl pondered on it for a moment. As if she really was weighing the options of whether to comply or not. But her serious face was broken quickly, and she giggled a bit. "Sure thing, Lilia-chan," Aimi answered, leaning forward a bit as if it helped her hearing.
''Make it two then.'' Lilia giggled back, knowing she did the same as Jinkama often did. ''I want to know what you hope to achieve later... as well...'' Lilia tilted her head to the right, a bit. She planted her hands on her hips as she asked the other question. ''With you being my little sister, that means we're going a lot of adventures, isn't that right?'' Lilia asked Aimi, already feeling actually happy with all that was happening at the moment. It even made her forget what was likely in store for her.
The girl got excited with Lilia's words. "I get to go on adventures with Onee-chan?" she answered (with a question). She hopped up and down for a second, before remembering Lilia had asked another question before that one. "And I'm going to... be a kunoichi like you and mommy," Aimi gave her, actually answering the question properly this time. And all the while, she kept a wide grin on her face.
This was thus her little sister. Lilia hoped this wasn't an illusion. ''I would love to see you soon, Aimi-chan. Heh, I think you will become a great little sister.'' Lilia giggled as she then ruffled Aimi's hair. It was fun to actually ruffle somebody's hair instead of getting her own hair getting ruffled the whole time. ''Now, I need to go. Will you be okay?'' Silly for even asking it, Lilia felt that it was in place to ask the question.
Lilia's question was met with a scoff. "Of course I'll be fine, silly," Aimi answered, giving Lilia mock-sass. But she couldn't keep the act up particularly long. She giggled a bit with this, before spontaneously hugging Lilia. "I just want to make sure I'll get to see you again later. Deal?" Aimi asked her sister, looking up at Lilia without quite letting go.
Hugging Aimi back, Lilia smiled. ''Psh, like if we need to make such a deal. I'll be waiting for you later and even watching over you, Aimi-chan. I need to go now, okay?'' Lilia noticed she didn't had any weird grey places or transparent ones anymore. Even the sad and negative emotions were all gone, replaced by the courage, confidence and pride ones she had before. Still, she wished she could spend more time already with Aimi, but there would be enough time later for that.
The little girl took a step back, to make sure she was the proper distance from Lilia. For what? The girl lifted her right arm, her hand coiled into a fist. "I'll see you later," she told Lilia, but it came off as more of a demand. She shook her outstretched fist briefly, to give Lilia the idea that she wanted to fistbump her sister before she left.
Lilia nodded as she stretched her right fist out as well. ''Indeed. Till later... Aimi-chan.'' As soon as Lilia bumped her fist against Aimi's, the area around them began to show cracks. Lilia was surprised and looked around, wary of what likely to happen, the cracks started to spread out at a fast speed. Glancing to Aimi, Lilia then felt as the ground underneath her vanished. Falling through the darkness, Lilia thought back off everything that had been said to her. Clenching her fist, she made a summersault, facing the way she was falling. Bring it on!
Walking away, Selia eyed the bandaged sword. It had slithered towards his master, making weak sounds. Scoffing, Selia cared not about the blade. The young girl with long black hair was still laying on her side, becoming quiet. After the Black Sphere sealing, Selia was sure that Lilia would slowly die. So far nobody had managed to break the seal as it was using the chakra of the victim against themselves. A seal that would slowly corrupt her own chakra.
Thinking about the fight, Selia walked a bit further away from Lilia and sheltered out of the rain as she looked after her few wounds. So far Lilia had caused nothing grave, but Selia felt that some of the cuts were stinging. She wanted to be sure that her sibling had used no poison on her. While bandaging some of the cuts, she heard something. ''You got to be kidding..'' Slowly she turned her head to the right and noticed how Lilia was rising up.
Selia jumped up as she turned a bit paler. ''No, you should suppose to die slowly! Just die already!'' She sneered at Lilia, who placed both her hands at the ground and pushed herself up. She was panting and looked tired, but her eyes had a bright glint as she looked up to Selia. Clenching her hands into fists, Lilia managed to rise herself from the ground. Still panting, she managed to keep standing on her feet. Her wounds had recovered as some sort of aura surrounded her. It was a cloak of red chakra, but it was more or less faint. Selia narrowed her eyes. ''That beast won't save you.'' The older girl mumbled as she pulled out her katana and rushed towards Lilia.
The reddish aura started to take a shape, but the usual killing intent or violent feeling wasn't present. As Selia closed in the distance and lashed out, she saw that Lilia had tried to dodge the attack, but that the steel had slashed through her throat. But no blood splashed on the steel, which confused Selia. Before she could react, a fist stomped her in her stomach and caused her to gasp for air. Another strike against her chin caused her to stumble before Lilia finished it with a fast and short jump, turning as she delivered a kick against Selia's nose.
Feeling she was send back, rolling backwards over the ground, Selia managed to push herself from the ground as she landed on her feet swiftly. Blood was dripping on the ground as the left hand of Selia was covering her nose. It was broken and the pain was quite annoying as Selia tried to focus on Lilia. The latter seemed to have recovered quite good as she wasn't panting anymore. ''How?'' Selia mumbled, trying to think what went wrong. How did she managed to move faster in all of a sudden? Was it the Tailed Beast?
''Simple. Secret Sword Technique : Moon Shadow.'' Lilia answered with a neutral tone. She then lowered her head a bit as she opened her right hand, lightning crackling through the air. ''I am going to not hold back anymore. Too many people are relying on me.'' She said, which caused Selia to spit on the ground. Removing her left hand from her nose, it was shown that Lilia's kick had really broken it.
''Don't get cocky now.'' Selia sneered as she again ran towards Lilia, who did several handseals before stretching out her hand as she ran. She was running towards a white hilt, of a katana that seemed to have its edge made of silver. Grabbing the weapon up, Lilia was just a slash away from Selia, meaning that she had to react fast. But she wasn't granted to react with a proper block as the blade of Selia was already coming for her. The katana of Selia slashed through the shoulderpad with the Fox kanji, that was meant to protect the right shoulder of Lilia. But instead of falling down, Lilia faded away. Appearing at the left side, she held the hilt of her katana with both her hands as she was skidding over the ground, about to attack Selia.
A few white hairs fell on the ground as Selia managed to dodge the attack with ducking away. Jumping backwards and performing some backflips, she was barely able to recover as Lilia followed her, moving in with swift slashes and stabs. Managing to keep up, Selia felt how the silver blade still managed to scratch cuts when her reaction wasn't fast enough. It kept continue like that, with Lilia driving Selia backwards. Trying to get the upper hand only resulted that the blade of Lilia managed to scratch her, causing Selia to feel something.
Lashing out, she realized what the feeling was. She was becoming desperate. Steel clashed against silver, as the two danced again the deadly dance of blades. This time it was only different as both were aiming to end the fight instead of one another or stopping the other. Ducking to avoid getting stabbed, Lilia saw her own reflection for a split second in the blade of Selia before she stomped Selia in her stomach. It caused the latter to stumble a few steps back, creating an opening for Lilia. A flash of silver came for Selia's mid section, with a fast speed. Only to be blocked just in the nick of time by Selia's katana. It was just for one second before both jumped backwards.
With a short distance between both, it only lasted one moment before they charged at each other again. Running through the rain, both attacked at the same time from a different direction. Blades locked together, with the two coming to a halt. Lilia looked with a calm look as she was seen pressing her weight to keep standing as both tried to outbalance the other. Backing off would mean the other had a good opening to attack and the other. Knowing she didn't had that much chakra left, Selia tried to trip Lilia by suddenly step backwards and then to left. A grin appeared on the lips of Selia as Lilia fell a bit forward, looking surprised. Raising her blade, Selia's eyes lighted up as thunder coursed through the sky. For a moment the whole world seemed to be lightened up as if it announced the battle was finally over.
Lighting crackled through the air as steel slashed through flesh and bone. Selia narrowed her eyes as she looked at Lilia. This time there was blood on the blade and the one that got hit coughed, her left hand at her mouth. Blood was coughed up as the steel was twisted in the body of the victim. ''I can't believe it...''
The blade of Selia had impaled Lilia, who held with both her hands the sword of Selia, trying to keep it inside her. But the silver blade had moved on its own and stabbed Selia. Lightning was flickering around the silver edged weapon as Selia started to cough again. Her legs started to tremble as she locked her eyes with Lilia in front of her. ''So we die together then...'' She whispered, feeling her live and strength ebbing away.
''Sorry, but I am afraid that won't happen.'' The mouth of Lilia wasn't moving as she poofed away. The sound came from behind Selia, who looked a bit to the right, over her shoulder. Lilia was standing there, holding up her right hand to form the Seal of Confrontation as if she was starting a spar. Her silver blade twisted more, causing Selia to sink on her knees. Furthermore, the older sibling dropped her weapons as her hands tried to yank out the blade of her body. But the moment she tried that, her own blade never touched the ground. It also stabbed Selia, in her stomach area. The eyes of Selia widened as she had seen the blade moved out itself. The pain coursed right through her body, causing her to gasp for air and unable to ask how that able to happen. ''Gen-Ge-''
''No, not genjutsu. This is reality. And a technique that I consider a memento from my grandfather. The Flying Blade Technique. Though I am nowhere near his level, its quite the technique. Now...'' Lilia had said as she had walked past Selia and knelt in front of the girl that was heavily wounded. Selia was breathing heavily, barely able to keep her eyes open as she was losing blood with each heartbeat. ''Who is Kiyomi?''
The question made Selia look up. Her eyes were looking with anger and hatred. ''Y-You're a...disgrace. N-Not even knowing.. .you're bi-birth name.'' Selia coughed again, dropping to her side. She was on the edge of slipping away, to her death. Lilia didn't move to help her. She had realized something as her right hand moved towards the face of Selia. The latter tried to grab the wrist, wanting to defend from what she thought was an attack. But lacking the strength and stamina to do so in such a condition, she saw that the hand of Lilia was placed gently on her right cheek.
''Your death is called Lilia, but she will die with you. Selia.'' The words of Lilia caused Selia to look surprised. She saw how Lilia rose up, removing her hand from Selia's cheeks as she walked back to Samehada, picking the blade up. The rain was slowly stopping to pour the land as the girl with black hair strapped the bandaged greatsword to the sheath on her back. The thoughts of Selia were about how it was possible how Lilia managed to create a shadow clone out of nowhere. When did she even had the time to do such a thing? Then realization dawned upon her. It was during the tactic with the smoke bomb. She had thus also managed to avoid anything after it. Meaning that the Black Sphere sealing had been wasted on a shadow clone? Selia was unable to keep her left eye open, only having some energy left to keep her right open.
''What ar...are you.. goi-'' She tried to ask, causing Lilia to turn around. The moon was just behind the young Hon who looked with a calm expression. The blood on her face was a bit washed away by the rain, giving a clear sight on the wound Selia had caused earlier. Lilia closed her eyes and then flashed a smile.
''I am going to bury Lilia and think about Kiyomi. She sounds like... a nice person.'' Lilia said turning around. ''I am a bit sorry, but this is how you wanted to be. Don't worry though.'' Lilia looked over her shoulder, still smiling as several tears ran down her cheeks.
''Lilia is dead.''
