The Weekly Breakdown #1
The Weekly Breakdown #1
''About god damn time!''
Roran Hawkins.
Introduction!
Hello all! Yes, many old New Gen players will recognize and likely fangirl. It's okay, it's perfectly fine. It's about god damn time! Using the subtle and nicely formed words Roro is likely going to reply on. But those who don't know us? Those who never had the pleasure of what so many Old New Gen players are now swooning over? Well, let's keep it short, before we hear more cursing from Roro.
The Weekly Breakdown is a reformed weekly post that is deprived from what was once called the Weekly Update. Here we host a number of things that are very fun and most of all : Interesting~ to read. Want to know what happened in the IC? Want to know who is going to be interviewed? Always interesting to hear people's opinions on several subjects. And with the crash of December, we lost all the interviews. Which means no time to cry, but to pick up and interview people again! And of course, some new features as the weekly quote. Which is t-

''About god damn time!''
Yes, yes, calm your horses Roro! Well, at this point I think that either the new comers have given up on reading further and/or the old cast is dying to want us to continue. Keep in mind that this is the first production and release, so we can't sadly give information on everything yet as much we would like.
Now, let's go!
Interviews!
Ah, yes. The feared interviews. Here one of the crew drags somebody in a room and then begins to interview them. What their opinion is about the GM's, RP or a character. Or just some nice chat. Of course we live in a free democracy and it's know that the GM team is able against some critique, so don't worry. Your head won't be cut off. At least, not by us!
*The Weekly Breakdown isn't responsible for when people suddenly vanish, lose a limb or catch a cold after reading the interviews! If you got afraid or worried after reading some of our content, bless you.*
This week's interview is with one of the crew of the Weekly Breakdown, one that helped me to prepare to resurrect this project! Lesli, a member of the GM team. And also known as Sassli, for her cynical, sarcastic and rather sassy comments when she feels like it. Though we all love her for it... I think.
Alice : ''Welcome welcome all to the Weekly Break Down Interview! Today we have as guest, Sassli! Give her a warm applause or fear her sharp tongue. Now Lesli, how are you?''
Lesli : ''Hahahaha, you little devil. I'm pretty okay. With college trying to suffocate my personal time, I'm actually pretty happy to be dragged in of your projects. Hearing you would do something as the Weekly Update, you got me sold. ''
Alice : ''It seems I have that effect on many. But great you instantly said : YES! And I repeat, you instantly said : YES! when I proposed the Weekly Breakdown. May I ask you why that is? ''
Lesli : ''Oh, gosh. That is actually a simple question. Unlike your questions in the Weekly Update, where you tormented many with questions that broke their sanity. But I agreed instantly to it because the Weekly Update was something people loved and eventually missed when we al became a bit too busy for it. I had plans to begin it, but not creativity. After all, calling it the Weekly Update V.2 wouldn't.. strike that well. However, when you proposed to bring it up, I instantly saw the advantages of it. It brings up so much fun material to read. Not only did it helped with weekly summary, but it brought also insight in some characters when they were guest in the Talk Show of Midori and Kaname. I really like those, as I had the honor of being the guest with Yumi. Think it was where I explained on why I was inspired of making Yumi's personality when I combined both the meaning of the name Yumi and Hasewaga.''
Alice : ''Awesome. And indeed, I have evil plans to give the newcomers an easier time to understand and settle in New Generatons. As well to make it all fun together as I have little doubt that somebody will actually dislike this. But on to the next question: What was the most useful of the Weekly Update in your opinion? ''
Lesli : '' Ppfffff. So much things were helpful. The Summary, Talk Show, Diplomacy, Databook and Interviews. It gave so much insight in a fun and easy way. Even outsiders reacted they liked reading it and think we could've be winning some fame if we had continued, while it started as an only New Gen thing. But if I have to chose : The Interviews.
There were simply soooooo many useful comments in there. Tips, advise and such on how one could become better or how one can come up with something interesting. Besides, it is always wise to keep an eye one those who think different as it can be fun to mix ideas together with that person. At least in my opinion. ''
Alice : ''Agreed and well said. On to the next question then. What do you want to happen in the Weekly Breakdown? ''
Lesli : ''What I would like? A LOT. I mean it. When I seriously think about the released of editions of the Weekly Update, we had so many awesome things to talk about. But I would like to hear more feedback from the readers. Even hearing they liked the released edition would be just a great motivation boost. While we asked around and got to know more people read the edition, we only got the reactions from a known group. It was a bit of disappointing that some said they followed it, but then never joined the talks about the Weekly Update, which were always fun and even hilarious in may cases. I hope that more people will react, even if it is just a few words (as long its a honest opinion) on the released edition. That would help the crew a lot. ''
Alice : ''Again, agreed. I really wonder if we are different on some opinions. ''
Lesli : ''Was that a questions?~ ''
Alice : ''Hahaha, maybe! But let's keep focus. Is there something you look forward, of the IC/RP? ''
Lesli : ''Other then meeting the new people that have and are going to join? I like the fact that diplomacy between the villages is going to play a heavier role. It was already there, present, but with the current kages (all active and creative people) I think it will become very interesting. None of them is stupid enough to trust each other completely in terms of such subjects, forming plans of their own. But of course we all know and like each other and simply act in character with our characters, trying to ensure the future of their villages and country. But it's something I personally am very, very eager to see in work. I can't reveal anything, but a lot of interesting things will happen. That most won't see even coming.~ ''
Alice : ''Hehehee, sounds indeed what the current leaders will likely do. I'm personally more eager to see all the villages becoming very active and indeed seeing some new faces. But the next question is : In terms of choice, which village is the most interesting to join? ''
Lesli : ''Tough question. I am only part of Konohagakure and Kirigakure. Both have a very different feeling to them. But reading and knowing a lot about the other villages, its safe to say it depends on your taste. First : the villages are nowhere like that of the cannon. Konohagakure isn't a very jolly or happy place. It has it's dark secrets, more than one realizes. And unlike the cannon Amegakure, the RP Amegakure is very different as the leader has different views on how to make the small country to compete with the nearby big superpowers around it. Kumogakure has been in a bit of decline, but the person leading the Cloud is a very cunning and shrewd leader, the one that has taught you some nasty tricks. So I am interested in seeing how Kumogakure will turn out.
Kirigakure as last is also a very fun place to keep an eye on. It has a dark and shady feeling to it as it is infamous for it's assassins and spies. Not to mention that most current Kirigakure characters have this cool/reserved personality that make me really think of them as real shinobi. No mercy, but simply do what is being ordered. Without any remorse.
So its safe to conclude that it depends on your current style. Read a bit about the history or ask some questions around, but each village has its own advantages to offer. ''
Alice : ''Then the next question : What do think is wise? Starting strong or weak? And why? ''
Lesli : ''Depends on the rank. As Genin and newcomer? Weak. Go as weak as you possibly can. You will have to train a lot to become somebody to kick some ass, but it gives so much character development. And it's then so easy to begin liking your character. Its harder to get bored with a character that has become strong than one that became strong the moment it showed up in the story. Though that is my own view on it. ''
Alice : ''I felt you would almost make a reference. Knowing you. But good! Time for the next question : What is it that you would advise the people, as a GM and veteran player of New Gen? ''
Lesli : ''To listen to what the GM's advise. Also what some other people, that may not be part of the GM team but have their own share of RP'ing have to offer. Don't however directly follow it, but think about it. Do you agree? Then do something with it, on your own way. If you don't? Then try to think why not and try it out your own way. But don't sit in a corner and feel like you don't matter. In such cases, nobody can help you, as you (unaware to yourself) close yourself off from advise and help that others offer. That is my advise. Oh and never just agree to a match against Alice. ''
Alice : ''Geez, thanks for ripping that curtain off. Any last words? ''
Lesli : ''Shake that money maker, honey!''
Alice : ''Hahahahhaa, I wonder if the person will get the the reference.....
Well that was it for this Breakdown ladies and gents! Hope you stay tuned in and see you next week!
Cya cya! ''
The Weekly Summary!
This is where one of the crew members will give an overview of what happened in the IC, anything that is worth knowing as a whole. More detailed information of which character picked his nose or crabbed her ass or such won't be revealed. You will need to read the IC yourself, unless that movement caused something big to happen. Then you will hear us all over it!
The Databook!
The databook. A place where you can read some facts and news about characters about players. Maybe want to find out what the Third Hokage like to do in his free time? To know what the Fourth Mizukage dislikes? Or what the sensei of your time does in her free time when you're not around him or her? All things that are fun to read back as well interesting. You can maybe see some facts that your character(s) share with each other or with somebody else. Soon the Datatbook will be opened, likely this week. Keep an eye out when a crew member of the Breakdown announces the news!
The Breakdown!
The newest subject and a spin off on the Talk Show. Yes, we couldn't resist to leave this while planning on bringing back the whole project up from the dusty place it had been laying. This is where a character of a player will get interviewed, while another character is going through a breakdown.
What is a breakdown, you may ask?
Oh, it is fun. Two characters, each a character of a crew member, will start to talk and 'break down' a character. This means they will look and talk about the character's skill, abilities, history and achievements.
But that isn't just the start of the fun! Each time we will try swap the character for the character interview and the one(s) doing the breakdown. Meaning more variety and more fun to read each time a new edition is released!
For this week we just wanted to give a little bit of information of what you can expect next week.~
But stay tuned, as it will be very interesting.
